【LoiLo Web Filter】How to Install Web Filter Extension on Chromebook & Windows
We recommend installing our LoiLo Web Filter extension if you are using LoiLo Web Filter on a Chromebook or in an Edge browser.
Note: Installing the extension is not required if you are using iOS devices.
For Chromebook
To enable the LoiLo Web Filter on Chrome, please log in to the Google console management backend and follow the steps below to install the Chrome extension. Note that the filter extension will only apply to the Chrome browser, and you should set it to prohibit the use of other browsers.
Procedure Order
1 Click on Devices
2 Click on Chrome
3 Click on Apps & extensions
4 Click on + Search or add filters
5 Enter the ID for the web filter extension

Set the "Install policy" to "Force install and pin"

To prevent bypassing the filter, also make the following settings

1 Click on Devices
2 Click on Chrome
3 Click on Settings
4 Click on Users and browser settings
5 Find Apps and extensions and click on Task manager

【LoiLo Web Filter】 Setting Filter Categories and Individual Sites in the Admin Console
For Windows
To use the Loilo web filter on Edge, please log in to Microsoft Endpoint Manager Admin Center (Microsoft Intune) and follow the steps to install the extension.
Note that the extension's filter will only apply to the Edge browser, so please configure it to prohibit the use of other browsers.
Procedure Order
1 Click on Devices
2 Click on Configuration
3 Click on + Create
4 Click on + New Policy

5 For "Platform", select Windows 10 and later
6 For "Profile type", choose Templates
7 For "Template name", select Administrative Templates
8 Click on Create

9 Click on Basics
Name → Enter something easy to manage
10 Click on Next
11 Click on Configuration settings
Navigate to "Computer Configuration" → "Microsoft Edge" → "Extensions" → "Control which extensions are installed silently" → Set to "Enabled"
And enter the following extension ID

12 Click on Next

13 For "Assignments", click on + Add group
Select the target device group
Please ensure to test in a verification group before applying to all devices
14 Click on Select
15 Click on Next
16 Click on Review + create
17 If everything is correct, click on Create
Please note it may take some time (5 minutes to several tens of minutes) for the changes to be reflected.
Please also set the following to prevent the filter from being bypassed.
Prohibit Edge Guest mode.
Disable Edge InPrivate mode.
Disable process termination in the browser's Task Manager.
Restrict access to serviceworker (edge://serviceworker-internals/).
Reference Block access to a list of URLs
Disabling Internet Explorer 11.
Restrict installation of unwanted applications.
Restrict users from changing proxy settings.
Disable sidebar and change search engine to Google.
Note:
Only browsers with the extension installed will be filtered.
Please note that other browsers will not be filtered.
